Your Entry
You will need to include a concise description of the project objectives and how these have been achieved, with reference to the following:
- Resident comfort/wellbeing/choice
- Accessibility within the buildings and outside spaces
- Internal decoration, signage and navigational aids
- Design features and innovation
- Staff needs
- Meeting market requirements
- Cost-effectiveness of the build
- Aesthetic features
- Environmental consideration
The entry form should be accompanied by:
- Site and floor plans
- Commentary on design innovation
- Details of any environmental features incorporated into the design
- Breakdown of the project’s developmental costs, including land acquisition and fitting-out
- Photographs of both the completed project and the original site/buildings (where possible, please also provide photos in digital format)
It is recommended to submit your entry online, but a PDF form is available for submitting via. email.
Submissions Deadline: 30 November 2023 (6pm)
Judging
All entries will be judged initially on the entry forms and supporting documentation. Once finalists have been chosen (three per category), a panel of judges will visit each finalist in person to view the project. The visiting panels will include a combination of experienced healthcare architects, interior designers, valuers, lenders and operators.
The Rules
Although any party involved in a project can submit an entry, it must be submitted in the name of the project owner, who will be the recipient of any award given.
If your project is selected as a finalist, you will be expected to allow a judging panel to visit the project and meet with staff and residents as part of the judging process.
Whilst information provided in your entry will be kept in the strictest confidence, entrants agree that a summary of the project, including photographs and names of the project and its owners, may be published by Nexus Media Group in Caring Times magazine and by any associated sponsors.
Any material submitted by entrants will be at their own risk and will only be returned if specifically requested.
Decisions made by the judges are final, and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into regarding this.
